Supervision & Consultation

Social Work Supervision & Consultation

Whether you are independently licensed or working toward indepedent licensure, consultation or supervision outside your place of employment may be desirable for a variety of reasons.

Kate has over ten years of experience supervising BSW and MSW interns, LCSWs, LICSWs, and LMHC candidates as well as additional continuing education in the principles of supervision. She is available for one-time consultation or on-going supervision. Kate uses NASW Supervision and Clinical Practice guidelines and for on-going supervision, we devise a contract to outline expectations. Kate works on a sliding scale basis as she recognizes that colleagues work in a variety of practice settings with various financial situations.

As part of supervision, I provide guidance through the licensure process to ease stress related to the exam and paperwork for the LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC. Support includes test preparation and test-taking strategies.

Reach out to schedule a free initial consultation if you are interested in on-going supervision. If you have a one-time consultation need, contact me about the topic or area and we can determine next steps.

**NOTE: I am also comfortable serving as the "therapist's therapist" and welcome colleagues who seek counseling/therapy around personal struggles if that is the area of concern you have versus wanting or needing supervision.  We will discuss paramenters and I make a strong distinction between what is therapy and what is supervision for both our benefit. If we are in supervision and you need or want counseling/therapy, I may refer you to another colleague to address individual concerns, symptoms, or emotional struggles.
